Two Steps Forward

February 27, 2019 by Dana Goldstein

I had high hopes for this book, but not because I enjoyed The Rosie Project. I love a good travel book, whether it is fiction or memoir. A Walk in the Woods is one of my favourite travel logs and in inspired me to consider walking the Appalachian Trail. Two Steps Forward fell flat for me. The characters lacked depth, I found it hard to connect with their backstories and I really expected more interesting interactions. It’s a simple, shallow read.
